Violin & Viola instrumental courses

These instrumental courses for Violin & Viola are mainly addressed to participants aged over 12 years, who attend violin, viola or violoncello lessons for at least 3 years now and are equally open to students or graduates of a Conservatory / Music University and Instrumental teachers, wishing to further develop or “refresh” their musical, technical and interpretation skills.
Younger participants may also enroll to this course in clearance with the organisator.

Achieving progress in technique and in music as well as creating a climate which enables the effective study to be pleasant and profitable at the same time, is the main purpose of this course. Pieces of advice about proper body position, a solution to technical problems, development of a finer touch sensibility and a dialectical analysis of various approaches of interpretation are embodied to our teaching pursuits.

The mental planning and discovering of the “suitable”, for each piece, sound, the growing and expanding of personal music horizons, the searching and applying of complex interpreting approaches, pieces of advice about quick by heart learning of music pieces and playing without use of score are additional parts of our lessons.

String players, preparing an examination, competition or an orchestra audition – tryout are also welcome.

Participants preferring to work in an instrumental ensemble  / chamber music and less interested in solo lessons can also take this course, by choosing Ensemble or chamber music as main subject.

We would kindly request participants wanting to present pieces with piano accompaniment (with our lecturers, a student participating in the piano accompaniment course or with other participants also wanting to attend chamber music courses) to send us the piano scores, in form of pdf file, at the registration time or, at latest, two (2) months before lessons begin.

In case you register in order to prepare an ABRSM examination, please define the intended examinations level (grade).

Due to the limited number of participants in every class (12), we strongly recommend as quick a registration as possible.
