Flute instrumental course

This flute instrumental course is addressed to participants aged over 13 years, playing the flute for at least 3 years now. (Prospective) students and graduates of Music Universities / Conservatories as well Flute teachers, wishing to develop or “refresh” their musical, technical and intepretational skills are also most welcome.

Main topics of this course are: the procedure of a targeted corporal self-control, as basis to the music performing, breathing techniques, discovering of the “suitable”, for each piece, sound, interpretation, technique, intonation as well as pieces of advice about performing with ensembles and repertoire knowledge.
Apart from solo lessons, in group lessons and through well chosen examples, various technical and music problems will be discussed and pieces of advice about proper presence and enforcement of personality at stage will be given. Ensemble lessons and a constructive criticism in class from the rest of participants, in a mutual respect and appreciation atmosphere, enrich and complete this course.

Students preparing their examinations or wanting to participate in competitions or orchestra auditions – tryouts are also welcome to this course.

Participants preferring to work in an instrumental ensemble  / chamber music and less interested in solo lessons can also take this course, by choosing Ensemble or chamber music as main subject.

We would kindly request participants wanting to present pieces with piano accompaniment (with our lecturers, a student participating in the piano accompaniment course or with other participants also wanting to attend chamber music courses) to send us the piano scores, in form of pdf file, at the registration time or, at latest, two (2) months before lessons begin.

In case you register in order to prepare an ABRSM examination, please define the intended examinations level (grade).

Due to the limited number of participants in every class (15), we strongly recommend as quick a registration as possible.
