…she began her piano studies at the Regional Conservatory of Carinthia in the class of Prof. Dr. Walter Langer and started to teach at the same Institution in 1973. In 1975 she completed her studies in Musical Education and received the State Diploma of Music Education with distinction.
She then continued her piano studies at the National Superior School of Music in Cologne, in the class of Günter Ludwig, where she graduated her artistic performance Diploma and made further studies in chamber music and accompaniment with Günter Kehr, Igor Ozim and Max Rostal.
The Conservatoire de Lausanne was the last station in her studies; there she completed the studies in the “Licence de Concert” programme and followed a special course to the piano methodology of Vincente Scaramuzza.
She participated at several masterclasses with worldwide known artists such as Friedrich Gulda, Carlo Zecchi, Jörg Demus, Nikita Magaloff.
Long teaching experience in prestigious Institutions such as the Conservatoire de Lausanne (Assistantship to Fausto Zadra as well as independant Professor), the University of Cologne (Section of Music and Didactics) etc.
Since 1989, she teaches piano at the sections of chamber music and accompaniment of the Regional Conservatory of Carinthia, she was member of the Committee that instaured the new Diploma of accompaniment at the same institution and she created the charity concert series “Musikalische Begegnungen für Licht ins Dunkel“.
She frequently gives master classes in Austria and abroad and appears as soloist or member of diverse chamber music ensembles in Austria, Italy and Switzerland with artists like Jürgen Kussmaul, Knut Weber, Gorjan Košuta, Miloš Mlejnik, Klaus Storck.
